Vincenta does not require an external Nautical Almanac, sight reduction tables or an Internet connection to perform celestial navigation calculations.
When a star or planet appears through a brief gap in the cloud, there may be no time to identify it before taking a sextant observation.
With Vincenta, that's not a problem. Record the sight first, then use the Body Identification tool to identify the observed star or planet from its approximate bearing and measured altitude. Once identified, simply perform the sight reduction again using the correct celestial body.
